If I don’t have the cash to buy something, than I don’t need it, and you will have the cash if you don’t go through life spending half your money on finance charges.

the ideal of socialism, and I amn’t one, is resource based. Lets see what resources we have first then we do what is necessary to feed and clothe everyone that needs fed and clothed, in the process we put everyone in jobs to accomplish this etc. it’s not an immoral foundation for a society based on theft, thats just the way the elite use it

Sometimes yes and sometimes no, if they drove costs down by using chemicals that did some serious damage we’d have a problem

in our area, apartment dwellers, share in a city owned lot to grow crops. ask your city to provide some empty city land. get a group together and get out planting. you have to take initiative. move move move , fast fast fast. sense of urgency in your soul will put food in your bowl.

but jchahine… I think the whole recession business is based on a myth if just because “sales” are down suddenly there’s a recession. Lack of sales from dept. stores aren’t a good barometer for how much money the consumer has. In fact it’s the opposite really. I mean if sales are down that’s not necesarilly because people are poor… maybe people are just buying less ridiculous stuff they don’t need. recession to me means that people can’t buy the things they need…

Don, I agree the consumer is at fault for spending $ that they do not even have. However, the U.S. Govt is spending, or excuse me, [Borrowing] money they do not have to spend on thing that we do not need! So, I think everyone is at fault!
