While I understand that imprisoning debtors is wrong, I DO believe that debtors should be punished. Your debts helped to fuel inflation in poor countries, starting civil unrests, murders and starvation. And debtors are complaining about being jailed briefly? Debt is wrong, period. Selfish greedy Americans should be reprimanded in some way or another. America will dissolve permanently. I was smart to save all my money and live within my means, I can choose to leave when and if the time comes.
Rich CEOs get tax money to cover for debts that Americans will never pay off. I understand all about the bailouts, but why do people assume they should be soo dependent upon government to bail them out. Americans were against the bailouts for the banks, while at the same time hoping for bailouts of their own. This is selfish nonsense by both parties (citizens and banks) and IT GOES BOTH WAYS!! Let’s stop pointing fingers and start promoting self-governance and real financial independence.
I have a negative $15 balance on my chase credit card and have always paid my charges as soon as they are posted, so they lowered my credit limit to $500. They told me I could raise my limit back but I would need to apply for a new card, I said I would but this time it will be with my credit union.I wont be making any more charges on this card (my only card) and they better give me my $15.
MY POINT IS SIMPLE, I honor my agreements and on time and Government abd Banks And &&& Do not honor the Agreement they offered me. I will not justify because
you either did not comprehend or understand AND that may be the REAL problem! WE SHOULD demand and help eachother. Instead “THe Sheep Mentality” and Market research is paying off for the Corps and Government. Research ((them) Shows Americans will bash eac hother and compete for “Toys” Instead of holding them accountable
Naive is thinking banks are going to help you when your in need ie. starting a business. They make their money by bending you over. So, knowing this and still doing business with them you can be assured that you will not come out ahead. and yes this country does run on credit and look at where that got us. Washington is actually talking about going bankrupt with our record deficit. Its simple, if you spend more then you make then the chances are slim that you will come out ahead.

A true debtors revolt would be to choose not to go into debt in the first place.. Pay off your balances and just say no to credit. If you cant afford to pay cash then you shouldn’t have whatever it is your buying. Just imagine if everyone in the country canceled all of their credit cards. That would be a true revolt.
did chase or boa, force you to go and charge your card. if you were a true patriot, you would be responsible for YOUR actions. If you can’t pay your balance, you chose Debt.
AMEN! I agree I have been more sick in the past year then ever. Bof A is trying to make us pay double mortgage for a year for one missed payment. I have been waiting for a decision from my ssdi hearing for 4 months, and I originally filed in early 07… The bank of america is awful and we are stuck with it…..people don’t understand fibro because we look ok on the outside….

Regardless of the smoke & mirrors created by the Fed & the banks, the economic debacle is a result of greedy executives thieving the life savings of hard-working families just so they could continue to gamble on high-risk stock speculation. Then it all went to shit. So they kept their stolen millions & left the families with nothing. Can that kind of cowardly behavior even be explained? It’s incomprehensible how the minds of these execs have become so poisoned by lust & greed. Wretched & sick.

Here’s the deal folks: the banks are squeezing everybody and when their squeeze pushes some over the edge they have to squeeze those who remain all the harder. Look into Advanta Bank and what’s happened to it, because that’s the template for what’s happening to the other major banks.
