Silver will become a LOT hotter as more regular folks come to realize that fiat paper is garbage. They won’t be able to afford Gold (especially now that it’s leaving the launch pad), and will turn to Silver, even Copper (save your pre-1982 pennies, folks), as things get worse.

@Raycheetah Hey Ray, I agree. I think there will be a lot of people wanting to buy silver and a short supply which will drive the price off to the races. I’m saving pennies too… but I battle with that because it feels so trivial when you compare it to silver or gold.

@AgStrat I think of saving Copper pennies as an investment in small change. After all, “junk” Silver started out with a similar status. At Coinflation (dot kom), those pennies already show a metal value at as much as 3x face. That’s worth saving a few pounds of ‘em, for me. =^[.]^=

@goldcurrent1 Whose to say it couldn’t in a hyperinflationary environment? The point is there are big gains in real puechasing power of PM’s yet to be made IMHO.

@goldcurrent1 No one knows for sure what the price will be when the top comes. Personally,I’m pretty confident it will be way higher than now and well ahead of inflation. Going to be a bumpy ride between now and then though!
