I work with Commercial clients at Chase Bank in Chicago.
No longer are our customers allowed to call us and have us do wires for them, no we have to put them on a system that they pay for (along with all of the other things they pay for) to do their OWN wires. If they insist on us doing the wire for them…. we charge them TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS to do a wire transfer. It was only raised to that amount to strong arm our customers into buying the online set up to do the wires.
Chase Bank is nothing but a no good SOB loan sharks that are nothing bit a bunch of worthless sob’s. They changed my due date and I went to pay online and I was 15 minutes late and they raised my interest rate from 6.99 to 29.99 % and I had been a customer for over 10 years and was never late.
Screw the bastards and the horse they came in on. I hope they go bankrupt and take their idiotic “pre programmed” robot customer service “account managers”‘ with them. l.

I made an online payment that their site confirmed, but I didn’t write down the confirmation number…. My bad. Next thing I know I’m getting socked with 27.74% interest, and a $39.00 late charge. Chase claimed they didn’t receive payment.
Sounds like I’m not the only one they’ve been doing it to. I paid them off but they’re not getting the interest or late payment from me. F*** ‘em.
Its not just Chase. All the major banks are doing it. They are all morally corrupt. Join a credit union or a small home-town bank.
They jacked up my minimum payment today from $200 to $550 and im unemployed so lots of luck gettin any money now chase

I don’t think its right for a company to treat a customer like money, its my belief that they should be treated as they are, HUMANS = CUSTOMERS, we are ALL people, BUT, if you are in debt, then you need to pay. Chase has to answer to IRS for money NOT paid back. You don’t have the right to steal it without paying

I was in debt also, $20,000.oo to be exact, but I didn’t cry about it like the guy in this video, and I didn’t waste my time blaming a company that GAVE ME CREDIT to begin with. I WORKED HARD AND PAID IT!

Yes, sometimes it’s better to compromise by paying off the card, but not totally canceling it. However, if they charge an annual fee, then definitely get rid of the card. These parasites need to be called out on their BS.
Chase took my Wamu CL from $6K to $2200 citing to much debt to my credit limit. The (not so) funny thing is, I didn’t have a balance on my card. In fact, once I heard Wamu was now Chase I’d actually destroyed the card because I just knew they’d try something. I haven’t closed it though because I want the credit file open for my purchase of a house. (Credit scores in the mid 700’s.)
actually, most of the time if you use the freedom of information act to make them provide the actual contract that you supposedly signed when agreeing to this mess – they usually can’t provide said document. there is no contract. it’s a bad investment on their part. try it. it’s going pretty well in england.

What they don’t tell you is after a few months they’ll change the monthly minimum payment percentage from 2 to 5%
Same low fixed rate with a monthly minimum payment so high you’ll have to file bankruptcy.
My girlfriends monthly payment went from $500 to $1300.

Chase canceled my personal credit card which was once WAMU card without any type of notice! I found out by trying to use the card online. Called up the company and they told me based on my credit report they needed to cancel the card. hmmm nothing wrong on my credit report and I’ve payed several hundred over the minimum each month. Never missed a payment! Extremely pissed off they did this without notice & raised my APR at the same time. Screw em I payed off my balance and closing my biz acct to
nobody wants to hear your bitching, you missed a payment or had a late payment, chase has every right to raise the interest rate on the line of credit that they are extending to you, you APPLIED for this card with certain conditions and one of them is their right to raise an interest rate if you you’re tardy on your payments, its right there in your disclosure when you give them your information for this card….
This is ridiculous. That is why we live in a capitalist society. I was late on my cc once and I accepted the fact that my rate increased because of MY MISTAKE. The best part about it is that there is competition out there so why would you complain about wanting to keep the Chase card? Shouldn’t you have been so mad that you would WANT to take your business elsewhere?
i know . after a long history of no missed or late payments and nothing wrong. they dont care they wont negotiate. they wont take off the fee. money hungry scum bags!! and then they raise the rates so high u cant afford it on 2 jobs
that is soooo true. they have no negotiation. i missed my first time in years. and they slap me to pay huge late fee and now my min payment is huge. they wouldnt even negotiate. im mad because i used to be at washington mutual and chase bought em out. i hate chase sooo much but i have $3,000 to pay off on my credit card to them. it would have been less if it was still wash. mut.
at wa mu online i could check my credit score for free anytime. now i cant with chase. with chase AA im so mad.
you are absolutely right, they do not want your business. i commented on your part 2 last night and said they closed my account. I am a month ahead on my payments and pay $100 instead of the requested $20 minimum they ask for each month. I would like to know if this is happening to all ex-wamu people or just those of us they’ve not found a way to screw yet
Yes, and how ironic is it that everyone I know personally has said the same things about Chase, namely, that they’re a bunch of money-hungry scum buckets. Mom & Pop grocery stores would be hanged from the tree tops if they charges their customers the type of interest these bastards charge.
